Job summary

Moray Council seeks a dedicated helper to support teaching staff and pupils with additional support needs in a caring school setting. You will assist with personal care, health needs and mobility, promoting independence and safety.

The role is temporary until 15 August 2027, part-time (25 hours/week, term-time only). Starting salary is £27,455.48 pro rata, with a rate of £14.27 per hour. PVG scheme clearance is required before any formal offer.

Qualifications

• Experience with children/young people in a caring environment.
• Educated to standard level or equivalent; English and Arithmetic understood.
• PVG scheme or willingness to update PVG scheme.

Responsibilities

• Support Learning and Teaching Activities.
• Provide support to children and young people with additional support needs.
• Attend to personal care and health needs, maintaining a safe, hygienic environment.
