Job summary

Moray Council in Elgin is seeking a part-time role to assist teaching staff and support pupils with additional needs. The successful candidate will help with personal care, mobility and health needs, and work under teaching staff guidance.

Experience with children in a caring environment is essential. PVG Scheme must be completed before any offer is made. This temporary post runs until 15 August 2027, with varied hours up to 27.5 per week during term time.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children and young adults in a caring environment.
• Educated to standard level or equivalent with basic English and Arithmetic.
• PVG scheme is required before a formal offer of employment.

Responsibilities

• Support learning and teaching activities.
• Assist pupils with additional support needs.
• Attend to personal care and health including medical needs of pupils.
• Support pupils with mobility needs.
• Work under guidance of teaching staff.
