Job summary

Oak View School in the United Kingdom is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to help pupils aged 3 to 19 with complex needs, including autism and learning difficulties. This term-time post offers varied hours and no prior experience required, with in-house training provided and a strong safeguarding focus.

You will support teaching and learning, work as part of a team and participate in training sessions. An Enhanced DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification or above.
• Some experience of working with children with a range of special educational needs.

Responsibilities

• Support the teaching and learning of pupils with special educational needs aged 3 to 19.
• Support pupils with autism, severe and profound learning difficulties and challenging behaviour.
• Take part in training sessions on Mondays and Thursdays during the training period.
