Job summary

Oaks Park High School in Carshalton is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work with pupils and support them across a varied curriculum. The role sits in a team under the SENCo, assisting with both mainstream and Horizon autism base provision and liaising with staff and families.

The successful candidate will help pupils access learning, support pupils with SEND, and contribute to a safe, engaging school environment. Term-time only, 33 hours weekly, with a start as soon as possible.

Qualifications

• Non-teaching role supporting pupils in school life.
• Work under the direction of the SENCo.
• Experience with Horizon autism base welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Work with teaching and support staff at all levels and with parents/carers.
• Help pupils access a varied and exciting curriculum.
• Support students during lessons and in unstructured times as directed.
