Job summary

Monarch Education is seeking a compassionate Learning Support Assistant to support learners with complex needs in a specialist SEND school. You will help pupils access learning, build independence and reach individual targets in a nurturing environment.

Role involves 1:1 and small group support, collaboration with staff and therapists, and safeguarding responsibilities. UK-based role with competitive pay dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND or additional needs.
• Ability to communicate effectively with pupils, families and colleagues.
• Ability to foster positive relationships and inclusive learning.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex needs.
• Support learning, communication and social development.
• Deliver personalised learning activities and therapeutic interventions.
• Encourage independence, confidence and participation throughout the day.
• Support pupils with sensory, emotional and behavioural needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and support staff.
• Assist with personal care where required and promote safety.
