Job summary

Monarch Education is seeking an experienced Specialist Teaching Assistant to work in a Mansfield SEND setting, supporting pupils with SLD, MLD and complex needs. You will provide 1:1 and small group support, help pupils access learning and develop independence.

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children and young people with complex learning needs?

Monarch Education is currently recruiting for a Specialist Teaching Assistant to work within a welcoming SEND setting in Mansfield. The Role

As a Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils with SLD, MLD, and complex learning needs
• Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual EHCP targets

• Adapt learning activities to meet a range of abilities and needs
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and wider support staff
• Promote independence, confidence, and positive engagement in learning
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all pupils

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• At least 12 months' experience working within a UK educational setting
• Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• A good understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management
• A patient, resilient, and adaptable approachThe right to work in the UK

Experience supporting pupils with complex needs, communication difficulties, sensory needs, or personal care requirements would be highly advantageous.
