Job summary

Monarch Education is seeking an experienced Specialist Teaching Assistant to work in a Mansfield SEND setting, supporting pupils with SLD, MLD and complex needs. You will provide 1:1 and small group support, help pupils access learning and develop independence.

You will collaborate with teachers and therapists, promote inclusion and positive engagement, and contribute to a safe, nurturing environment. A patient and resilient approach, safeguarding awareness, and right to work in the UK are

Qualifications

• At least 12 months' experience working within a UK educational setting.
• Experience supporting children with SEND.
• Good understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SLD/MLD and complex learning needs.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support aligned to EHCP targets.
• Assist with communication, social development and emotional regulation.
• Adapt learning activities to meet varied abilities and needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and support staff.
• Promote independence and positive engagement.
• Help create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
