The Oaks Secondary School, Spennymoor, County Durham, is seeking two Health Care & Education Assistants on a temporary contract until August 2027, with potential to extend subject to funding. 34 hours per week, 8:40–4:00, Monday to Friday, starting as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will support pupils with a range of special educational needs, assist with personal care routines and with safe positioning and movement, and contribute to classroom learning under the guidance of teaching

Competenze

• NVQ Level 2 in Childcare or equivalent qualification.
• Ability to converse with parents and staff in accurate spoken English.
• Experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable.

Mansioni

• Support pupils with a range of special educational needs.
• Assist with personal care routines and hygiene.
• Help with safe positioning and movement of pupils with physical disabilities.
• Contribute to classroom learning activities under guidance of teaching staff.
