Job summary

The SEND Coordinator role at Aston Villa Foundation is an existing post for an experienced project coordinator with a SEND focus. You will support delivery of SEND activities, coordinate a team of officers and coaches, and help develop new opportunities to widen impact.

The role reports to the Senior Programmes Manager (Engagement, Sport and Wellbeing) and aligns with the Foundation's Disability Football programme.

• Strong track record of partnership working with stakeholders.

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week (including Evenings and Weekends)
Contract Type: Specific purpose contract (2 years)
Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum depending on experience
Location:Villa Park (with requirements to travel to and from community sessions)

The Department

The Aston Villa Foundation is the official Charity of Aston Villa Football Club and prides itself in being innovative in its approach to the club being used as a 'Force for Good'.

Disability Football and physical activity is a long-standing Department, which compliments the Foundation's 2024-28 Strategic Plan. The Disability department brings together several special educational needs and disability strands, all of which contribute to providing a landscape of opportunities for children and young people in a variety of education, development and learning settings.

The Role

The SEND coordinator role is an existing role for an experienced project/programme coordinator, with a proven track record in designing, coordinating, delivering and executing impactful projects with a special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) focus. This is a rapidly developing and exciting specialist area of provision, within a busy and growing charitable organisation with a strong reputation.

The SEND Coordinator will report to the Senior Programmes Manager (Engagement, Sport and Wellbeing) and will support the Disability Football Manager to coordinate/lead a team of full-time and part-time officers and coaches. They will support them in the delivery of excellent, impactful projects, activities and programmes whilst also identifying and developing new opportunities to widen our impact and the development of our people with special educational needs and disabilities.

The Person

The Aston Villa Foundation is seeking a highly skilled, driven and purposeful SEND Coordinator with a genuine interest in charitable and community work.

You will be experienced and proficient in the delivery of special educational needs and disabilities activities, programmes and events, coordinating people, projects and programmes, and have a strong track record of partnership working and collaborating with key stakeholders and experienced in developing new project/service opportunities in your chosen field.
