Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking a dedicated teaching assistant for a specialist educational school based in Tadworth. You will support students with complex learning difficulties, including autism and non-verbal communication, fostering confidence and social connections.

The role covers ages 5–18, with both long-term and supply opportunities. Working hours are 8:30-4:30, and sponsorship is not provided. A DBS check is required or in progress.

Qualifications

• 3-6 months experience in special education, working with autism, complex needs and non-verbal students.
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
• GCSE English and Maths at 4/C or above.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are searching for a teaching assistant to join our specialist educational school based in Tadworth.

Your role will involve engaging with students who have complex learning difficulties and needs. You will encourage them and promote learning within the class and build social bonds with them. Students at this school will be aged between 5-18 years old and we have positions available for long term contracts as well as roles on a supply basis.

Working Hours: 8:30-4:30

Requirements:

• 3-6 months of experience within special education, working with students who have autism, complex needs and are non-verbal.
• Enhanced DBS check (Child and Adult Workforce) on the Update Service or willingness to undergo one.
• Full eligibility to work in the UK - sponsorship is not offered with any of these roles.
• GCSE grades in English and Maths at 4/C or above.
• Access to your own vehicle is preferred.
