Job Title: Special Education Needs Teacher (SEND Teacher)
Location: Newcastle
Payrate: £150 - £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Contract: Daily Supply, Long Term
Start: Immediate

About the role:
As a SEND Teacher, you will provide tailored education and support to students with diverse needs, fostering their academic and personal development. You will create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that helps students understand their true potential.

Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet the needs of students with SEND.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes confidence and independence.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and external professionals to support student development.
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding practices.

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Have experience teaching students with SEND, ideally within a specialist or inclusive setting.
  • Have a strong understanding of SEND strategies and behaviour management.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
