Job summary

Saxon Hill Academy, part of Shaw Education Trust, is seeking a Welfare and Care Assistant to join the school’s support team. You will assist with personal care and support pupils with SEND in classroom and community activities, working closely with teaching staff and other professionals.

Full training provided; relevant experience in personal care is preferred. Interviews are scheduled for 1 October 2026 and the role runs under a fixed-term contract until 31 August 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience in personal care and supporting children with SEND.
• Genuine commitment to aiding children with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal and physical care, such as changing and feeding.
• Support pupils in the classroom and during community-based activities.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, teaching assistants and other support professionals.
