Job summary

ALTEN is seeking an AIT Electrical Operator to join our Stevenage team, supporting the assembly, integration and testing of advanced aerospace and space systems within a highly regulated environment. On Site: Fully onsite 5x a week; Experience Level: Junior.

You will perform assembly, integration and test activities, prepare hardware, report non-conformances, and maintain quality documentation while working to strict processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, assembly, integration or test environments.
• Background in Aerospace, Space, Defence, Electronics, Automotive or other highly regulated industries.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, procedures and technical documentation.
• Strong practical and hands-on engineering skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Experience working to strict processes and procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible and proactive problem-solving approach.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly, integration and test activities per engineering procedures and work instructions.
• Prepare hardware and equipment for integration and testing activities.
• Support electrical and mechanical integration of aerospace and space systems.
• Execute functional tests and record results accurately.
• Identify and report non-conformances, anomalies and defects.
• Complete manufacturing and quality documentation per project requirements.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety and cleanliness requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the AIT environment.
