Job summary

Away Resorts Piperdam is seeking a qualified Spa Therapist to pamper guests and assist the Spa Manager with daily operations. The role is on-site at Piperdam Leisure Resort, Dundee, with 20 hours per week and weekend availability.

£13.50 per hour DOE, weekly pay, plus commission on products sold through ELEMIS treatments. Responsibilities include delivering massages and facials, maintaining a pristine spa, selling/booking services, and contributing ideas to improve guest experience and

Qualifications

• Level 3 in Beauty Therapy or equivalent with massage and facial experience.
• Experience in manicure, pedicure, waxing, lashes and brows is advantageous.
• Excellent customer service and calming communication skills.
• Willingness to work weekends and bank holidays.
• IT and sales skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out massage and beauty treatments with care and expertise.
• Keep the Spa clean, welcoming and well presented.
• Sell and book treatments and products and handle transactions.

Location: Piperdam Leisure Resort, Dundee, DD2 5LP Nr Birkhill

Hours of work: 20 hours - must be available to work weekends!

Salary: £13.50 per hour DOE - paid weekly - with commission on products sold!

What we need in a nutshell

We are looking for a qualified Spa Therapist who can make our guests feel pampered and special and help the Spa Manager with the day to day spa operations.

As one of our 27 parks, set in 650 acres of idyllic Angus countryside, Piperdam combines superb accommodation and award-winning facilities to create the ultimate Scottish Experience. Our facilities include our Room with a View restaurant and Howie’s bar. Given our location please consider your route to and from work.

Working with ELEMIS, Award winning products, you will mainly be carrying out Massages and Facials (and getting commission from products sold!).

In your capable hands, Spa treatments will be one of the highlights of guests’ holidays. Your role will include:

• Carrying out a range of massage and beauty treatments with expertise, care and friendliness
• Ensuring the Spa is clean, well presented and welcoming
• Selling and booking treatments and products and handling transactions
• Enhancing the client journey by recommending and retailing products
• Contributing to team meetings with ideas to improve our service and profitability

One more thing…holidays happen at holiday times so you’ll need to work your magic on bank holidays and weekends too.

Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need

We aim to deliver delight to our guests and to do this, you will need to demonstrate the following:

• Level 3 in Beauty Therapy or Equivalent, with experience in Massage, Facials and Body treatments is essential.
• Experience in Manicure, Pedicure, Waxing, Complementary Therapies, Lash and Brow Treatments is advantageous.
• Great customer service and calming communication skills
• IT and sales skills
• A willingness to work positively as part of a team

It’s advantageous if you have worked with ELEMIS but if you haven’t, we provide training.
