Job summary

Achieving for Children supports the Single Point of Access by screening referrals, gathering information and advising on next steps. The role requires strong communication with parents and professionals, plus risk assessment at initial stages.

You will respond to safeguarding calls, identify risks, and provide guidance while adhering to data protection requirements; you will liaise with SPA management for final referrals decisions.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in social work with registration in Social Work England.
• Active registration and evidence of continuing professional development.
• Experience in preparing and maintaining case records and related information.

Responsibilities

• Screen referrals for the Single Point of Access and gather further information as needed.
• Analyse data and make referrals recommendations with SPA Management authorisation.
• Respond to safeguarding calls and provide initial risk assessments and guidance.
• Handle information requests from external professionals in line with Data Protection Act.
