Job summary

Charles Hunter Associates is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join the Safeguarding and Care Planning Team. The role requires a Social Work qualification with a minimum of 3 years post- qualified experience in frontline work and a valid Social Work England registration.

You will work on safeguarding decisions, statutory functions, and collaborate with CIN, CP, and potentially LAC cases. A driving license and access to your own vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Social Work degree (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) required.
• 3 years post-qualifying frontline experience in child protection/referral and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Make decisions and perform statutory functions to protect children and support families.
• Work with CIN, CP and Looked After Children (LAC) as needed.
• Desirable experience with PLO cases.

About the team

The team makes decisions and performs statutory functions to ensure the correct outcomes for children and their families are achieved.They do this by working with children from a range of services, such as CIN (Children in Need) and CP (Child Protection), and due to holding court cases, a few of the children are also in LAC (Looked After Children).Experience with PLO cases would be desirable but not essential.

About you

Knowledge and experience working within a fast-paced Frontline Team such as Child protection and Referral and assessment is essential for this role.You will also hold a degree within Social Work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) As well as 3 years post qualifying experience.

You will need to have a Social Work England registration and access to your own vehicle.
