Medway Council is recruiting a Social Worker to work with children, young people and families requiring statutory intervention, using the Signs of Safety framework to deliver high-quality, relationship-based social work. Your focus will be safeguarding children, delivering Child in Need and Child Protection Plans, and progressing cases through legal proceedings when necessary.

You will manage a varied caseload with regular reflective supervision, complete robust assessments and SMART plans,

Qualifikationen

• Qualified Social Worker with registration in England.
• Successful completion of ASYE and at least 2 years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience in statutory children’s social work and in Child Protection/Court proceedings.
• Knowledge of Signs of Safety or willingness to undertake training.

Aufgaben

• Work proactively with children, young people and families requiring statutory intervention.
• Safeguard children by implementing Child in Need and Child Protection Plans.
• Complete robust assessments and SMART reviews.
• Prepare high-quality reports for conferences, Looked After Reviews and court proceedings.
• Maintain accurate case records and collaborate with Police, Education and Health.
• Keep up to date with legislation and maintain professional standards.
