Job summary

The Advocate Group is partnering with a globally recognised FMCG drinks business to recruit an Account Executive – Grocery in the South West. This field-based role puts you in control of a key territory, developing relationships with major Grocery retailers and translating strategy into measurable regional growth.

You will visit stores, analyse data, and collaborate with Area Managers, Regional Buyers and multi-site decision-makers to harness opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven FMCG account development experience.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to turn opportunities into growth.
• Experience negotiating, presenting and influencing stakeholders beyond individual-store level.
• Full UK manual driving licence and willingness to travel within the South West.

Responsibilities

• Territory ownership: independently manage a geographical area and maximise commercial performance.
• Account development: deliver incremental sales growth with major Grocery retailers and store clusters.
• Stakeholder management: build relationships with Store Managers, Area Managers and Regional Buyers.
• Commercial selling: use performance data and insights to develop compelling proposals and opportunities.
• Negotiation & execution: secure distribution, listings, promotions, and in-store visibility.
• Collaboration: work with internal account teams and distribution partners to deliver national agreements.
• Performance management: forecast and review territory performance to improve sales and market share.
