Job summary

BFT Automation, part of the SomfyGroup, is seeking an Area Sales Manager for the South West of England. The role focuses on growing our B2B installer and distributor network, driving sales, and delivering consultative product support through our internal teams.

You will travel across the South West four days a week with one admin day, and you will report to the UK Sales Manager. A highly commercial mindset and strong relationship skills are essential.

Qualifications

• A proven B2B sales track record of at least 5 years, ideally within the UK construction sector or a related industry, with experience selling to installers or distributors.
• Proactive and driven: highly self-motivated with a track record of surpassing sales targets.
• An interest in technical products and a willingness to develop product knowledge; support is provided by technical/internal sales teams.
• Extensive travel across the South West, including regular overnight stays; ideally based in the South West.

Responsibilities

• Manage (sales & relationship management) B2B customers (installers and distributors).
• Act as a commercial advisor and provide guidance for mutual growth.
• Maintain relationships with existing customers and prepare proposals on new opportunities.
• Work with technical and internal sales teams to support customers with technical inquiries and product issues.
• Support customers with on-site and on-premises technical issues and training; ensure customer satisfaction.
• Help achieve the sales budget of the professional channel through strong account management.
