Job summary

BFT Automation, part of Somfy Group, is seeking an Area Sales Manager for the North West, North East and Scotland regions. You will manage and expand the B2B customer base, focusing on installers and distributors, with support from technical and internal sales teams.

This field-based role requires a proactive, relationship-driven approach and strong account management to achieve growth and contribute to the company’s market expansion in the UK.

Qualifications

• Proven B2B sales track record of at least 5 years, ideally within UK construction or related industry.
• Self-motivated with a history of surpassing sales targets.
• Willingness to develop product knowledge; support is provided by technical and internal sales teams.
• Extensive travel across North East and Scotland; based in North West preferred.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Experience in international organizations or technically oriented industries is a plus.
• Full and clean driving license.

Responsibilities

• Manage B2B customers (installers and distributors) and build relationships.
• Act as commercial advisor and provide guidance for mutual growth.
• Prepare proposals and share information about new opportunities.
• Collaborate with technical and internal sales teams to support customers.
• Achieve regional sales plans and drive opportunities; prospect new customers.
• Provide market feedback for strategy and share market information.
