South Hunsley School and Sixth Form College is hiring a Pastoral Support Officer to join the Pastoral Team. The role is 37 hours per week during term time, with additional hours paid for meetings and training.

Some holiday work is expected, and the salary is £25,100.95 per annum, paid in 12 equal monthly instalments. You will support students with Emotional, Behavioural Learning Difficulties, implementing individualised programmes and coordinating with line managers.

Formación

  • Experience in youth services or secondary school settings.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring or advising young people.
  • Ability to support, guide and supervise students in a school context.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Pastoral Team as a Pastoral Support Officer at South Hunsley School and Sixth Form.

The working hours are up to 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday during the school term. You will also be paid for an additional 44.5 hours per year, which enables you to attend team meetings and training and development that sits outside your normal working hours. You will also be required to work some days during the school holidays. Your actual salary will be £25,100.95 per annum, and this is paid in 12 equal instalments over the year so even when it is the summer holidays, you continue to receive the same payment that month.

What does the role involve?

Each day you will work under the direction of the Assistant Headteacher to provide support and supervision of students with Emotional, Behavioural Learning Difficulties were identified as a need. You will also work with line managers to implement and supervise individualised work programmes for vulnerable students and students placed either in Isolation, Reflection, Horizon, or on a personalised programme of support, at school, at college or alternative providers.

Pastoral support is at the centre of everything we do at South Hunsley School. What we are looking for?

We are looking for an individual who has previously worked within youth services or a secondary school setting or has experience of supporting, advising, guiding, coaching or mentoring young people.
