Job summary

The Education Alliance is seeking a Pastoral Support Officer at South Hunsley School and Sixth Form. The role is 37 hours per week during term time, with additional paid time for meetings and training, and some holiday work. Actual salary is £25,100.95 per annum, paid in 12 equal instalments.

You will support students with Emotional, Behavioural Learning Difficulties, implementing individualised programmes and collaborating with line managers across school settings.

Qualifications

  • Experience of supporting, advising, guiding, coaching or mentoring young people.
  • Experience within youth services or a secondary school setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and supervision of students with Emotional, Behavioural Learning Difficulties.
  • Work with line managers to implement and supervise individualised work programmes for vulnerable students.
  • Support students in isolation, reflection, horizon, or personalised programmes across school, college or providers.

Pastoral Support Officer

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Pastoral Team as a Pastoral Support Officer at South Hunsley School and Sixth Form.

The working hours are up to 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday during the school term. You will also be paid for an additional 44.5 hours per year, which enables you to attend team meetings and training and development that sits outside your normal working hours. You will also be required to work some days during the school holidays. Your actual salary will be 25,100.95 per annum, and this is paid in 12 equal instalments over the year so even when it is the summer holidays, you continue to receive the same payment that month.

What does the role involve?

Each day you will work under the direction of the Assistant Headteacher to provide support and supervision of students with Emotional, Behavioural Learning Difficulties were identified as a need. You will also work with line managers to implement and supervise individualised work programmes for vulnerable students and students placed either in Isolation, Reflection, Horizon, or on a personalised programme of support, at school, at college or alternative providers.

What we are looking for?

We are looking for an individual who has previously worked within youth services or a secondary school setting or has experience of supporting, advising, guiding, coaching or mentoring young people.
