Job summary

Chef Results Ltd is seeking a Sous Chef to join a privately owned 4* spa hotel with 86 rooms near Cleckheaton. You will assist the Head Chef to organise and train a brigade of 6 chefs in a busy fresh-food kitchen serving hotel dining, spa restaurant, afternoon tea, bar menu and banqueting.

Ideal candidates have experience in high-volume fresh-food hotel kitchens, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to train junior staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume fresh food hotel kitchens.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to train junior staff.
• Knowledge of SOPs and current kitchen legislation.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Chef to organise, monitor and train the brigade of 6 chefs.
• Support in busy spa hotel kitchen, including banqueting and events.
• Ensure standard operating procedures are followed.

Job description

A great opportunity for a Sous Chef to join a successful privately owned 4* multi outlet Spa Hotel with 86 rooms located near Cleckheaton. As Sous chef you will assist the Head Chef to organise, monitor and train the brigade of 6 chefs . The spa hotel has a restaurant that offers differing menu choices serving healthy fresh food dishes to the guests. There is a also a busy afternoon tea service, a separate bar menu for all day diners and a busy function and banqueting department which is popular for wedding. This is a great chance to work in a busy fresh food environment with plenty of opportunities to gain experience.

Requirements:

The Head Chef is seeking a passionate Sous Chef with who is seeking a role where they can commit themselves in a fast paced quality kitchen. Previous experience working in high volume fresh food hotel kitchens is essential along with very strong organisational skills and ability to train junior staff. You need to understand the standard operating procedures, GP’S and current legislation relating to kitchen environments.
