Job summary

The Teller's Arms is proudly positioned on Farnham's Castle Street. As Sous Chef, you will be the anchor of the kitchen and the Head Chef's trusted second-in-command, helping lead a premium, high-energy operation and mentoring a brigade of chefs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen with fresh ingredients.
• Hands-on leader who enjoys training and mentoring junior chefs.
• Able to collaborate with Head Chef on menus and daily specials.
• Knowledge of kitchen controls, GP targets, stock ordering, waste management, and labour efficiency.
• Strong standards of food safety, hygiene and allergen management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the kitchen brigade and run service with Head Chef.
• Write, design and launch innovative menus and seasonal specials.
• Support with kitchen financials, labour efficiency and waste management.
