Job summary

Cosy Club Canterbury is hiring a Sous Chef to lead our kitchen with enthusiasm for quality produce and a collaborative approach. You’ll oversee daily kitchen operations, mentor the team, and contribute to menu planning while delivering exceptional service across our brunch, dinner, and events.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Sous Chef or similar role.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen operations and ensure high standards of food quality.
• Coach and develop junior chefs and kitchen staff.
• Collaborate with Head Chef on menu planning and ordering.
• Maintain smooth service during peak hours and manage kitchen workflows.

As one of our Sous Chef, you could earn in the region of circa £47,000 per year:

• Base Salary: Up to £37,000 per year depending on experience
• Tronc: Estimated between £6.5k - £8.5k annually. Our tips are shared equally across the team based on hours worked.
• Bonus: Up to £2.5k additional bonus potential
• Overtime Pay: Get paid for any hours worked beyond your contracted hours at your normal hourly rate - no pre-approval required.
