Job summary

Caring Homes Group Ltd is seeking a Sous Chef to assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing nutritious meals for residents in our homes. You will oversee kitchen operations, mentor staff, and create menus tailored to dietary needs and preferences.

You will collaborate with other departments for events and dietary accommodations, and communicate with residents and relatives to ensure satisfaction and continual feedback.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Level 2 Catering and Hospitality Qualification.
• Level 2 or above in Food Safety.
• Allergen and Intolerance Awareness Certificate desired but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing high-quality, nutritious meals for residents.
• Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and adherence to safety standards when needed.
• Support and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
• Create and update menus that align with residents' dietary needs and preferences.
• Collaborating with other departments to coordinate special events and dietary accommodations for residents as needed.
• Coordinating and communicating with the residents and relatives to ensure the satisfaction and needs of everyone is met and exceeded through continual feedback.
