Job Type: Full Time

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum

We are looking for a Sous Chef to support the daily operations of the kitchen. You should have a genuine interest in creating exquisite dishes using the best ingredients.

You will work closely with the team to foster a positive and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the kitchen team, including chefs, bakers, kitchen porters, and work experience staff, focusing on skills development
  • Ensure staff are trained in menu, equipment, and procedures
  • Support development of the food & beverage offerings and menu planning
  • Achieve sales and gross profit margin targets as per budget
  • Coordinate with the Head Chef to ensure content is correctly allocated, costed, and priced
  • Manage food orders and light equipment procurement
  • Forecast food volumes to ensure full service during peak periods
  • Motivate and develop team members to maximize performance
  • Maintain high standards of service and ensure customer expectations are met
  • Have a good understanding of report writing and financial management
  • Possess excellent supervisory, communication, delegation, and influencing skills
  • Apply analytical problem-solving approaches
  • Display a passion for food and customer service
