Job summary

The Frog is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join and help lead our kitchen during busy service. You will supervise the team, deliver high-quality dishes to spec, and support kitchen development in a welcoming, community-focused pub.

We offer a competitive hourly rate (£14.50) with tips, meal discounts, uniform and shoes, and optional live‑in accommodation. A path to Head Chef and Level 3 apprenticeship is available.

Qualifications

• Organised chef with supervisory experience who can run service when needed.
• Confident with a range of cooking techniques and equipment.
• Compliant with food safety and allergen rules.

Responsibilities

• Supervise kitchen operations and run service when required.
• Ensure consistency with central specs for cooking and presentation.
• Maintain food safety, allergen compliance and stock control.
• Support and develop junior team members toward Head Chef goals.
