The Hawk Inn in Amport, part of Upham Inns, is seeking a passionate Sous Chef to thrive in a busy kitchen and help the team shine. Live-in accommodation is available, with a clear pathway to Head Chef and a focus on great food and heartfelt hospitality.

Join us to develop junior chefs, support rota planning, and contribute to memorable guest experiences in a Hampshire village pub setting.

Qualificações

• Experience as Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef required.
• Ability to lead and develop others.
• Strong communication for busy services.
• Commitment to a clean, safe kitchen.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsabilidades

• Support the Head Chef with day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Cook and present great food consistently, following menus, recipes and standards.
• Lead confident, organised services and keep the team working together.
• Coach junior chefs, helping them develop their skills and take their next steps.
• Support rotas and organise daily kitchen responsibilities.
• Manage food ordering, stock control and storage, keeping quality high and waste low.
• Maintain excellent food hygiene, cleanliness and health and safety standards.
• Work closely with the wider pub team to give our guests a memorable experience.
