Job summary

Prezzo Italian is seeking a Sous Chef to support the Head Chef, lead shifts, and uphold the standard of Italian classics. You’ll mentor the team, maintain kitchen discipline, and jump in when needed to keep service smooth.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy, high-volume kitchen.
• Ability to lead shifts and run the pass.
• Strong emphasis on food safety and allergen control.
• Ambition to progress to Head Chef.

Responsibilities

• Run the pass and lead shifts with confidence.
• Train and coach the team, developing the chefs of tomorrow.
• Step up and run the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence.
• Ensure dishes are fresh, cooked properly and plated to spec.
• Collaborate with front of house to ensure a consistent guest impression.
• Manage ordering, stock, waste, and compliance on safety standards.
