Job summary

Prezzo Italian is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to be the Head Chef's right hand, running shifts, maintaining high standards and leading by example in a busy kitchen.

You will train the team, step in during the Head Chef's absence and ensure every dish is prepared fresh, plated to spec, and delivered with consistent quality and guest satisfaction. Opportunities for growth and development are on offer.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy, high-volume kitchen.
• Ability to lead shifts and manage a team.
• Pride in delivering consistent food quality on every plate.
• Calm under pressure with a people-first approach.
• Good knowledge of food safety, allergens and health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and run the pass with confidence.
• Train and coach the team, helping develop chefs of tomorrow.
• Step up and run the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence.
• Ensure fresh, properly cooked Italian dishes plated to spec.
• Work closely with FOH to ensure consistent guest impression.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, stock control and waste management.
