Job summary

Prezzo Ltd is recruiting a Sous Chef to be second-in-command in a busy UK kitchen, supporting the Head Chef and deputising when required. You will lead a team, ensure food quality, hygiene and cost control, and collaborate with the General Manager to ensure smooth operations.

As part of Prezzo Italian, you will help maintain high standards, manage stock and shifts, and contribute to a positive guest experience across the brand.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef looking to step up in a busy, fast-paced kitchen.
• Understanding stock, waste, labour and kitchen costs to support an efficient operation.
• Care about food quality, consistency, cleanliness and food safety/HACCP.
• Positive, hands-on leader who coaches people and builds a strong kitchen team.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef to lead the kitchen team and deputise as needed.
• Develop a brilliant team and maintain excellent kitchen standards.
• Assist with stock, waste and costs to keep the kitchen performing at its best.
• Coordinate with Head Chef and General Manager to deliver great guest experiences.
