Wadworth’s Falkland Arms in Great Tew is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join a dedicated kitchen leadership team. You will support the Head Chef, drive high-quality dishes and maintain exceptional standards, while mentoring junior chefs and ensuring efficient, safe kitchen operations.

You will lead the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence, contribute to menu planning, control costs and minimise waste, and work closely with front-of-house teams to deliver memorable guest experiences.

Competenze

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef or experienced Chef de Partie is essential.
• Strong culinary skills, excellent communication abilities and a passion for developing both people and food.

Mansioni

• Support the Head Chef with day-to-day management of the kitchen operation.
• Lead, motivate and develop the kitchen team to deliver consistently high standards.
• Prepare, cook and present dishes to specification and the highest standards.
• Take responsibility for kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef.
• Assist with menu implementation, stock control, ordering and minimising waste.
• Ensure food hygiene, food safety and health & safety standards are maintained at all times.
• Support recruitment, training and development of junior chefs and kitchen team members.
• Manage service periods effectively and ensure a smooth and successful operation.
• Drive quality, consistency and profitability through effective kitchen management.
• Work closely with front-of-house teams to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
