Job summary

Wadworth is seeking a talented Sous Chef at Bartons Mill in the Hampshire countryside to join our kitchen leadership team. You will support the Head Chef in daily operations, maintain high standards, and lead the kitchen team to deliver exceptional food and service.

You will drive consistency, cost control and development of team members, ensuring safe and efficient service in a busy hospitality environment. Previous Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie.
• Strong kitchen leadership, food hygiene and cost controls.
• Passion for training and developing team members.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen management.
• Lead, motivate and develop the kitchen team to deliver high standards.
• Prepare, cook and present dishes to specification and high standards.
• Take responsibility for kitchen ops in the Head Chef's absence.
• Assist with menu implementation, stock control, ordering and minimising waste.
• Ensure food hygiene, safety and health & safety standards are maintained.
• Support recruitment and development of junior chefs and kitchen staff.
• Drive quality, consistency and profitability through kitchen management.
• Collaborate with front-of-house teams to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
