The Wordsworth Inn in Grasmere, part of The Inn Collection Group, is opening and seeks a Sous Chef to lead the kitchen alongside the Head Chef, delivering high standards and creative dishes using fresh ingredients.

You will manage a talented team, contribute to menu development and costing, control stocks, order from suppliers, maintain cleanliness, and cover the Head Chef in their absence while thriving in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen leadership and high-volume service.
• Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of menu costing and development.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and maintain high kitchen standards.
• Lead and develop the kitchen team.
• Contribute to menu development and costing.
• Control stock and order from suppliers.
• Oversee kitchen cleanliness and operability.
• Step in for Head Chef when required.
