Job summary

The Wordsworth Inn in Grasmere, part of The Inn Collection Group, is opening its doors and seeks an enthusiastic Sous Chef to join from day one. With 55 bedrooms and a food-led operation, you’ll help create exceptional guest experiences in a landmark Lake District setting.

As Sous Chef you’ll work closely with the Head Chef to maintain high standards, lead a talented team, and contribute to menu development and costing in a busy, guest-focused kitchen.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef or senior line cook in a busy kitchen.
• Ability to lead and develop a kitchen team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication with Head Chef, front-of-house and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen operations, ensuring dishes meet high standards.
• Assist with menu development and costing.
• Manage stock, ordering and kitchen cleanliness; cover in Head Chef's absence.
