BaxterStorey is hiring a Commis Chef in Maidenhead to join our busy kitchen team. You will assist in food preparation, uphold safety standards and contribute to the daily running of a high-volume operation.

You will work closely with senior chefs, develop skills across stations, participate in menu tasting, and help maintain quality and cleanliness in line with our policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commis Chef or similar role.
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsabilités

• Food Preparation – prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards, ensuring food safety at all times.
• Station Management – oversee production of all dishes at your station and keep area stocked and clean.
• Quality Control – maintain high quality standards in presentation and taste.
• Team Collaboration – communicate positively with team and coach junior chefs.
• Menu Development – collaborate with head chef to develop and taste new recipes.
• Cleaning and Maintenance – maintain cleanliness and ensure equipment works properly.
