Job summary

THE PIG-in the South Downs, Madehurst, BN18 0NL is seeking a Sous Chef to support the Head Chef across one of four kitchen sections and develop new menu ideas while overseeing health and safety, ordering and rotas.

You will work in a fast-paced, vibrant kitchen with a homegrown garden and local suppliers within 25 miles, contributing to sustainability-focused, modern British cooking. This role offers 40 hours per week with paid overtime and real opportunities across THE PIG properties.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role is necessary.
• Knowledge of all areas of the kitchen is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in running the kitchen, managing one of the four sections, providing new menu ideas, and handling health and safety, ordering and rotas.
