THE PIG near Bath, Pensford, BS39 4NS is hiring a Sous Chef to support the Head Chef, running one of four kitchen sections and driving menus with a focus on modern British food and sustainability.

The role requires previous kitchen experience, leadership ability, and a passion for mentoring apprentices within a fast-paced, supportive team. The position offers 40 hours per week with paid overtime and a comprehensive perks package.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of all areas of the kitchen and health and safety compliance.
• Experience in a similar role is necessary.
• Passion for modern British food and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in running the kitchen and manage one of four sections.
• Contribute menu ideas and oversee health and safety, ordering and rotas.
• Lead, teach and inspire apprentices through THE PIG apprenticeship programme.
