Job summary

Prezzo Italian in Leeds is hiring a high-energy Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and be number two in our kitchen. You’ll be at the heart of the restaurant, helping to deliver Italian classics with pride.

You’ll lead a busy team, work with the General Manager to ensure smooth service, manage stock and costs, and provide a positive, collaborative environment where great dishes shine.

Qualifications

• Kitchen leadership – experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef looking to step up in a busy, fast-paced kitchen.
• Commercial know-how – you understand stock, waste, labour and kitchen costs and know how to support an efficient operation.
• Great standards – you care about food quality, cleanliness and food safety/HACCP.

Responsibilities

• As Sous Chef, you’ll be number two in the kitchen, supporting your Head Chef and deputising for the Head Chef as needed.
• You’ll help develop a brilliant team and work closely with your Head Chef and General Manager to make your restaurant a success.
• From delivering consistently great food and maintaining excellent kitchen standards to supporting with stock, waste and costs, you’ll help make sure your kitchen performs at its best.
