Prezzo Italian is seeking a high-energy Sous Chef to be number two in the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef and driving a strong team. You’ll help deliver freshly prepared pasta, pizza and Italian favourites, ensuring quality and consistency across shifts.

Qualifications

• Kitchen leadership experience in a busy restaurant environment.
• Understanding of stock management, wastage, labour, and kitchen costs.
• Commitment to high standards of food quality, cleanliness and HACCP.
• People-focused leadership with coaching and team development skills.
• Pride in creating a great guest experience from prep to plate.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Head Chef in a busy kitchen.
• Assist with stock, waste and cost control to maintain efficiency.
• Maintain high standards for food safety and HACCP compliance.
• Ensure consistent, top-quality dishes and plating.
• Collaborate with the General Manager to ensure smooth restaurant operation.
