Job summary

Marston’s is seeking a Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. You’ll be right in the action as second in command to the Head Chef, responsible for running the line during service and supporting the Head Chef in all kitchen duties.

You’ll oversee, organise, and encourage the kitchen team, helping to develop their skills while maintaining the highest standards of food and service. Marston’s offers a supportive, people‑first environment with opportunities to grow within a renowned pub chain.

Qualifications

• Previous branded experience in a similar role or as an experienced Commis Chef (must have relevant kitchen background).
• Assist Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen and keeping the line running during service.
• Be responsible for maintaining high standards of food and service across the kitchen team.

Responsibilities

• Be in action in the kitchen, second in command to Head Chef.
• Run the line during service and support the Head Chef on duty.
• Oversee and develop the kitchen team, ensuring smooth operations in busy periods.
• Maintain highest standards of food quality and service.
