Job summary

Marston’s is seeking a Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef, stepping in when needed, and lead the line during service to ensure top-quality dishes reach the pass. You’ll influence and develop the team, drive high standards, and contribute to a lively, people-focused pub environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a branded kitchen role or as a Commis Chef
• Assist the Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen
• Responsible for running the line during service
• Oversee and develop the kitchen team and skill levels
• Commitment to maintaining high food and service standards

As Sous Chef you’ll:

Be right in the action in our kitchen, second in command to our Head Chef – stepping up and covering for them when they’re not on shift.

• Offer previous branded experience in a similar role or as an experienced Commis Chef
• Assist our Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen
• Accountable for running the line during service
• Oversee, organise, and encouragethe kitchen team - helping to develop their skills
• Be passionateabout maintaining the highest standards of food and service
