Job summary

HC-One is seeking a Head Chef to lead a kitchen in our care homes, delivering nutritious meals tailored to residents' dietary needs and preferences. You will manage the team, control stock and budgets, and ensure HACCP compliance while creating a welcoming mealtime experience.

You will mentor staff, uphold high hygiene standards, and collaborate with central teams to maintain nutritional excellence across sites, contributing to residents’ quality of life.

Qualifications

• S/NVQ2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery
• Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate
• Understanding of HACCP

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen team to deliver high-quality, nutritious meals for residents with diverse dietary needs and cultural preferences.
• Manage stock, budgets, and supplier orders while ensuring cost efficiency and compliance with food safety standards.
• Ensure HACCP hygiene and safety compliance across all kitchen operations.
