Job summary

Accent Catering Services Ltd in Worthing (BN14) is seeking a Sous Chef to join our school catering team. You will craft meals for pupils, supervise kitchen prep, and ensure high standards of food safety and service during term time.

The role is 30 hours per week, 8:00–2:30 with a 30 minute unpaid break, Monday to Friday, term-time only. £15.20 per hour. Free meals, career development, discounts, apprenticeships, team events, pension and more.

Job description

We play an important part in students learning and development, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion about ensuring that our future generations are provided with nutritious and delicious food, while also inspiring them to lead a healthier lifestyle.

The Sous Chef is responsible for supporting the culinary operations within the school, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional food service.

Excellent craft skills and the ability to manage your own workload

• Good communication skills at all levels
• Flexibility and a strong team-focused approach
• A passion for food with a great eye for detail
• A comprehensive understanding of food safety and health and safety

The ideal candidate will also have the flexibility to work overtime as required.
