Job summary

Care UK is seeking a skilled Sous Chef for Magna Care Centre, Wimborne. The role offers full-time hours (36 per week) with 4-day weeks and alternating weekends. Shifts run 7:30am to 5:30/6pm, with no evenings.

The role focuses on preparing fresh, nutritious meals for residents using quality ingredients, under the guidance of the Head Chef. You will mentor teams, participate in the Care UK Chef academy induction, and contribute to a high-standard dining experience in a diverse, inclusive

Qualifications

• Proven experience as sous chef in a care setting or healthcare catering.
• Ability to plan and prepare nutritious meals using fresh ingredients.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills for kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations.
• Prepare fresh, nutritious meals for residents.

We are looking for a highly skilled Sous chef to create fresh nutritious meals for our residents by way of using the best fresh ingredients available. We are looking for a passionate Chef that will support the Head Chef, lead by example and have the creative flair to showcase high level hospitality. The role consists of straight shifts & no evenings! There will be a fully supported induction showcasing the technical skills required in healthcare and an opportunity to mentor our teams to progress in our own Chef academy.
