Job summary

Queen & Castle is seeking a Sous Chef who leads a kitchen section with passion for great food and team development. You will guide the team, stepping in when the Head Chef is away, and ensure consistent delivery of high standards across all dishes.

You’ll enjoy the backing of Mitchells & Butler Leisure Retail Limited, with excellent perks, progression opportunities and a strong focus on training and development for chefs at all levels.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team in a busy pub or restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations in a kitchen.
• Ability to train and motivate staff to deliver high standards.
• Experience working with branded menus and consistent portion control.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train the kitchen team to work as one unit.
• Oversee food ordering, prep, and stock control for your section.
• Ensure compliance with health, hygiene and safety standards.
• Maintain high standards of plating, portion control and quality.
