Job summary

Foxhills is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join the culinary team at Farleigh Golf Club in Warlingham, Surrey. You will assist the Head Chef, manage the kitchen, and contribute to creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

The ideal candidate will have proven Sous Chef experience in a professional kitchen, strong leadership and creativity, and the flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays. This role is based on-site at Farleigh Golf Club.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or senior role in a professional kitchen.
• Culinary qualification from a recognized institution preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Creative flair and a passion for culinary innovation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
• Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in leading and managing the kitchen team to ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
• Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating to recipes and standards.
• Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
• Collaborate with the Head Chef in menu development, costing, and inventory management.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
• Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail in all aspects of the culinary operation.
