Hotel du Vin is recruiting a Sous Chef for our kitchen in Henley-on-Thames. The role supports the Head Chef, ensuring the brigade delivers top-quality dishes and maintains Brand standards in a busy kitchen.

You will develop the team, assist with menu execution, and participate in on-the-job training and progression opportunities within the group. The position is a permanent contract and offers competitive pay with potential OTE up to £40k, based on hours and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume kitchen environments is preferred.
• Ability to lead and develop a kitchen team.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef to deliver brand standards in a smooth, consistent manner.
• Develop and supervise the kitchen brigade, ensuring food quality and timing.
• Contribute to menu ideas and training within the kitchen team.

Working as Sous Chef in the kitchen you will support the Head Chef by ensuring the team deliver the brand standards in a smooth and consistent manner. Ideally you will of worked at this level before and be able to demonstrate your skills when developing the team beneath you.
