Oak View Group (OVG) is seeking a passionate Sous Chef for the new Level 1 Restaurant at St Mary’s Stadium, home of Southampton FC. You will lead the kitchen, work with Head Chef, and deliver a high-quality dining experience in a fast-paced seven-day operation.

The role offers full-time hours, a salary up to £34,000 depending on experience, and structured training to support your professional growth within an inclusive team.

Role Purpose

• Up to £34,000 depending on experience

An rare opportunity has arisen for a passionate Sous Chef to join the brand new Level 1 Restaurant at St Mary’s Stadium – home of Southampton FC.

As Sous Chef, you’ll work closely with the Head Chef to deliver an exceptional food offering in a fast‑paced, 7‑day operation. You’ll take a hands on role in leading the kitchen, supporting with menu development, ensuring smooth service, and maintaining the highest culinary standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting the Head Chef in the day to day running of all kitchen operations.
• Leading, motivating, and developing the kitchen team, especially in the Head Chef’s absence.
• Overseeing prep, service, and kitchen workflow to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.
• Managing ordering, stock control, and waste to maintain cost and GP targets.
• Ensuring full compliance with food safety, hygiene regulations, and H&S policies.

This full time role offers up to 34,000 per annum depending on experience and is based on a 7 day operation. You'll receive structured trainign and development to suppport your professioanl growth in an inclusive team.
